Undereye Rejuvenation

Undereye Rejuvenation

The skin around eyes is delicate and thin and does not have sufficient oil glands to keep it moist. Eyes undergo wear and tear due to allergies, sleep loss, sun exposure, and aging. Hence, the number of eye rejuvenation procedures are increasing every year.

Dark circles are caused by hyperpigmentation, anemia, increased vasculature, genetics, shadowing, hollowing due to structure of bone, allergies, age, fatigue or lifestyle factors

Ageing of the periorbital region is a common concern across age groups and more so in the middle age group. Eye rejuvenation has gained traction over the years.. It is used to treat hollowing under the eyes, fine lines and wrinkles (crow’s feet), appearance of the tear trough and dark circles, loss of elasticity around the eyes.

Chemical peels:

Chemical peels can treat hyperpigmentation or discoloration under the eyes. The solution consists of skin brightening actives such as lactic acid, arginine, glycolic acid, kojic acid and licorice extract which penetrates in to the skin rejuvenating the undereye area. At Ojas, FDA approved sequential peels are used to deliver maximised benefits.

Laser toning

A revolutionary treatment for dark circles with a new Q-Switched laser technology. In this technique, the laser beam disrupts the pigment granules (melanin) slowly and hence improves the dark circles or pigmentation under the eyes. It requires 6-8 sessions 3-4 weeks apart.

Platelet rich plasma

When there’s a hollow under the eye, it can cast a shadow in the area. PRP can reverse this volume loss, in order to minimize the shadow.

PRP can help plump the under-eye area and can help diminish fine lines and crepey skin around the eyes by stimulating new collagen production. Platelet-rich plasma helps tighten loose skin around the eyes to lessen the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The procedure is minimally invasive, done under local anaesthesia and involves the body’s own components.

Mesobotox

Mesobotox injections help to eliminate fine lines and wrinkles under the eyes, but do not change natural facial expressions. It is an injection technique for administering botulinum toxin type A. Unlike Botox, the concentration of the active ingredient in this case is lower making the procedure more delicate. Just what our thin skin under eyes needs! During the under-eye Mesobotox treatment, small lines are smoothed out and, consequently the skin becomes more elastic.

The fillers in combination with anti-wrinkle injection is used to lift the eyebrows and reduce wrinkles in the crow’s feet and the lower eyelid region

Dermal fillers

Non-surgical eye rejuvenation procedures include use of fillers, liquid eyelift. The fillers give more refreshed, less tired-appearing eyes and is used to correct the hollowness under the eyes. The hyaluronic fillers are more commonly used. It is administered along the hollow of tear troughs to give refreshes youthful look. The local anaesthetic is used for numbing to reduce discomfort. The procedure time is very short around 30 minutes and gives instant effect.

This is more demanding procedure as it gives more rested and youthful look that lasts longer than 1 year.

Morpheus 8

Morpheus 8 is a powerful radiofrequency microneedling technique which tightens the loose crepey skin under the eyes. It releases radiofrequency energy which causes collagen stimulation and further tightening and relief of wrinkled skin under the eyes.

Lip Pigmentation

Dealing with concerns about the discoloration of lips, commonly known as lip pigmentation, can be a significant issue. This condition often involves the darkening of lip skin, sometimes accompanied by dryness and chapping. It can be caused by smoking, use of pigmented cosmetics, genetics, nutritional deficiencies and habitual licking.

Lip laser toning

Lip pigmentation laser treatment employs laser toning, a highly effective method for reducing or removing pigmentation in the lip region. The laser’s heat energy targets melanin deposits in the lips, resulting in a visible improvement in pigmentation. Sessions are typically conducted every four weeks, with noticeable lip pigmentation removal results achieved in a few sessions. The procedure, performed with non-ablative lasers, is particularly safe for treating sensitive areas like the upper lip.

Lip peels

They are a go-to solution for removing unwanted pigment while smoothing the lips texture and tone and refreshing the skin via exfoliation to lift away dead skin cells from the surface.

Lip exfoliating products can help eliminate dead skin from the lips, but if you really want to send fine lines, wrinkles, and stubborn spots packing, there’s nothing quite like a lip peel. This chemical peel treatment works wonders for those experiencing unwanted hyperpigmentation on the lips, but depending on how stubborn and severe your discoloration determines which peel is best for you.
